Look what's happening at SCA!
Well it looks like we have another great week in the books and more on the horizon to come.
A NOTE FROM FR. MARTIN
Dear St. Clare Parishioners,
This past month we hosted our online auction to benefit all of the youth of the parish. I am happy to report that the auction made a profit of more than $115k! This included over $47k for the "Fund a Need" which will help us create an outdoor meeting space behind the school building for use during Covid (and beyond) along with other needs in the school. With these funds we will be able to cover the annual expenses of the parish school's PTO and contribute funds to our PSR program, Youth Group, Family Ministry, and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd programs. A special word of gratitude to Kristen Miedler who chaired this event (which was originally scheduled for the spring and turned into a 2 year project)! Thank you to the auction committee and to all of the volunteers and generous donors who made this such a great success for the youth of our parish.
Along similar lines, I would like to thank the Men's Club and Aaron Mensinger for a great Oktoberfest celebration. The live music and fellowship on a chilly October evening were great. The addition of carry-out and social distancing measures made sure that it was a fun and safe event for all who participated.
This coming week I will be out of town visiting my brother which means Fr. Andrew is in charge. Please, no wild parties while I'm away. 😉
