Once you have registered on the SCA GiveSmart site you will receive a welcome text. This text will provide a link that will take you to your personal bidding page. The link to register is: https://SCACasinoRoyale.givesmart.com
HOW TO BID ON AN ITEM
The GiveSmart system pre-populates with the next minimum bid so all you have to do is push BID. If you would like to enter an amount higher than the next minimum bid, you may enter a new amount and select BID. To have the GiveSmart system automatically bid for you a designated amount, please select AUTO and enter a higher amount. The system will bid for you incrementally up to your designated amount only if someone bids against you. Bidding will open on Friday evening at 5pm on most items. Please feel free to start bidding! The “live” items will not be available to bid on until Sunday when the auction begins. The auction software is already open for your Fund A Need donation, so feel free to make that donation any time! Please note that this year you will be able to see who you are bidding against on the GiveSmart system!
Simply click the donate button and enter the amount you would like to donate.
To purchase dress out passes or homework passes for your child, click on the INSTANT tab on your bidding link to purchase. Please note that these items were also available at the spring virtual auction and students may only use one of each per month. If you did not purchase the maximum amount per child in the spring or if you are new to SCA, please feel free to purchase now!
BECOME A HIGH ROLLER | Donate to Fund-A-Need
Fund-A-Need is already open and will be open throughout the event online. The funds raised by this portion of the auction are not only tax deductible 100% for the donor, but help faculty and staff of St. Clare provide the quality education that our children deserve. Thank you for your generosity!
A credit card is required to be on file with the GiveSmart system when you register. Once the auction closes you will receive a text with an invoice. You can pay this invoice immediately on your phone by clicking the PAY NOW button after reviewing the items on your invoice. We have the option for your to help St. Clare directly receive as much as possible from what is raised at the auction. When you check out you will have the option to choose “I will pay the fees.” This will charge you a credit card transaction fee of 3.95% on your purchases instead of charging St. Clare. This is optional but will ensure that more of what is raised stays at St. Clare. If you choose to pay by check or would like to transfer appreciated stock to St. Clare please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 314.973.3291.

THE 2020 AUCTION COMMITTEE
I cannot thank the amazing auction committee enough for their hard work on this auction. Nothing about 2020 seemed to go as planned, including this auction but these ladies put in so much time and effort to make the auction a success. It’s not quite what we thought it would look like but please know how much I appreciate the many, many hours of time you put into the auction. The food and cocktails would have been fabulous and the decorations amazing!
A word from Kristen, our auction chair!
Dear Parents, Parishioners and Friends of SCA,
Thank you for your support of the St. Clare of Assisi Auction! This year’s auction is certainly like no other…and hopefully like none to come!
Please remember that your generosity during this auction directly impacts the youth of St. Clare of Assisi. I know that things look different this year and there are some stipulations on some of the items but in these unusual times, we are counting on your help more than ever!
To those of you who participated in our virtual auction in April, thank you for your generosity and support! To those of you who are joining us for the first time today, we are glad you are joining us!
I promise, we will have the party later! But, we do need your generosity now. As you can imagine, St. Clare had to invest a lot of money to prepare the school for the children to return safely. This year’s Fund A Need will not only offset some of these costs that have been incurred but will also go towards updating technology in the classrooms and purchasing new Chromebooks for the children. In addition, St. Clare is in the process of setting up a true outdoor classroom.
As many of you know, a lot of hard work went into the preparation for this auction….we were so close to actually having it! It’s surprising how many people need to be thanked for an auction that never actually took place!
In addition to all the committees and committee chairs, a very special thank you to:
The homeroom moms and all parents
who gave selflessly of their time, money and creativity to make the baskets and class keepsakes possible (sometimes having to make the keepsake more than once!).
Mrs. Melia Linneman
for collecting donations and for answering my many, many questions, with a constant smile on her face!
Mary Beth Plaster
for being an amazing example of how to secure an acquisition from anyone, anywhere, at any time.
for fielding countless questions and collecting wine and other donations at the rectory.
Kate Wiley and Molly Edwards
for answering all of my questions and amazingly being able to put their hands on any prior year flyer or invoice at a moment’s notice! There is literally nothing from the past these two can’t find!
for handling reservations and payments and for helping to make sure the sign ups were working correctly!
for being the unofficial decoration co-chair and getting himself way deeper into researching flowers than he ever thought possible.
for her countless hours of design and redesign of every flyer, sign and invitation that went into this event. There are truly no words to express my gratitude. Thank you for still speaking to me.
Caroline and Henry Miedler
for understanding every time I said “Just a minute, I am working on the auction.” The only reason to agree to chair the auction is for the kids and because you want the best for St. Clare.
for unknowingly and unwillingly becoming an auction co-chair. I appreciate your patience and understanding throughout all the planning for the auction. Thank you for your (many, many, many) opinions and support to ensure the auction is a fabulous success for all the kids of St. Clare.
the prior year auction chairs
, you are all a hard act to follow! Until you chair the auction, there is no way you can truly know what goes into making the night a success. I continue to be in awe of you ladies.
Fr. Martin, Fr. Andrew and Mrs. Lind
for their support and willingness to do whatever they could to help make this auction successful. It is clear that they have a passion for making SCA the best it can be for all the youth of St. Clare of Assisi.
Thank you to
each and every one of you
who asked what you could do to help, who picked up things and who simply smiled and asked how things were going. It takes a village and there is no village I would rather be a part of than the St. Clare of Assisi village!
To all who support St. Clare of Assisi, whether it is your first SCA auction or your 15th, we are forever grateful for your contributions and generosity.
St. Clare of Assisi, Pray for Us!
