Look what's happening at SCA!
Just a few things...
Not too many things going on this week...
THE MASS... WHO DOESN'T LOVE THE MASS!
Do you attend Mass and have questions about some things that we do? Maybe you want to get more out of Mass? Well mark your calendars for a series we will be having on the Mass on Wednesdays in July. So save the date on July 8th, 15th, and 22nd starting at 7 PM. This series will be presented by our very own Fr. Martin, Fr. Andrew, and Deacon Charlie. More details will be coming your way soon!
WE WANT YOU FOR SCA'S PARISH COUNCIL!
St. Clare of Assisi is looking for some energetic, on-fire people to fill our 6 Parish Council openings. If you love Jesus and love your parish, then this is the position for you.
We like to uphold our mission in everything we do.
Behold him. Consider Him. Contemplate Him. Imitate Him.
As part of Parish Council you will be assisting Fr. Martin in interweaving our mission into the sacramental, educational, and physical life of the SCA family. You will also assist with consultation on major tasks and undertakings of our parish with focus on various events to promote both parish life and unity.
This term is a three-year commitment, which normally meets once a month on the fourth Monday of the month except July and August, the meeting normally runs from 7PM until 8:30PM and may require some additional time for special efforts. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in becoming involved in the parish growth. The new members will be notified in early September.
Maybe you aren’t interested but you know someone who would be great at this but needs that little push… Then you can nominate them!
Interested or have questions? Contact Ron Casey, current Parish Council president, at
A big thank you to our Parish Council who will be rolling off this year!

Prayer: Mini Series
Do you struggle in prayer? This mini-course introduces you to some of the Church's greatest spiritual masters. In each video, Bishop Barron shares practical ways to deepen our prayer lives and connect with God, especially through the Mass. If you have time and want to join in. Watch the short video and share your comments with your brothers and sisters in Christ!
MASS SOUND UPDATE!
Thank you to everyone for their feedback. We have hired a company to aid us in bringing you the best quality. A huge thank you to all of those who donated to make this possible! This past week we streamed from Facebook live and then recorded Mass to post to YouTube with better sound quality. Fingers crossed, I think we have our old chapel set up back and working so we will be able to stream straight to YouTube again. Continued prayers for our success is appreciated! Here is today's Mass if you missed it! Subscribe to our YouTube channel while you are at it.
Alright friends, I think that is all for now. Don't forget to check out our bulletin!
June 21st Bulletin
Have a great weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the men in our lives!
PRAYER FOR FATHERS
We give our thanks, Creator God, for the fathers in our lives.
Fatherhood does not come with a manual, and reality teaches us that some fathers excel while others fail.
We ask for Your blessings for them all and forgiveness where it is needed.
This Father's Day we remember the many sacrifices fathers make for their children and families, and the ways--both big and small--they lift children to achieve dreams thought beyond reach.
So too, we remember all those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent; grandfathers and uncles, brothers and cousins, teachers, pastors and coaches and the women of our families.
For those who are fathers, we ask for wisdom and humility in the face of the task of parenting. Give them the strength to do well by their children and by You.
In Your Holy name, O God, we pray.
